Back from sandblasting.


Originally I had intended to paint the frame gloss black. But I have to tell you that it looks very nice in flat gray as well (it's not painted yet, the gray colour is the colour of the raw steel after sand blasting). I know the street tracker guru Richard Pollock of Mule Motorcycles paints a lot of his frames in a medium gray. Hm. Decisions, decisions.

  1. I love that sandblasted effect on metal! I have a guy up here in Oakland who has sandblasted a few parts for me; he calls it "whitemetal" when it's taken down like that.

    Gray has my vote, too. I like it because it lightens up the bike a bit looks wise. Plus I think you can see cracks or any other issues easier if you have a lighter color, but that's just me.

    They have clear powdercoating, too, just FYI.
